Prima Ballerina

Caitlyn had her first dance recital on May 17th. She was so excited to dance on the big stage with all the lights. The video is a quick glimpse of what she has been learning since August.

Here is a link to pictures of her in her recital costume.

Pre-school graduation

Last Friday Brian "graduated" from pre-school. Thankfully, he passed with flying colors :) (well except for the Spanish requirements). He had a fun year and can hardly wait to start kindergarten in the fall. Here is a link to the pictures from his graduation.

Texas Children's Hospital

Last Tuesday John and I took Caitie to TCH to have surgery on her ear. She had reconstructive surgery on her ear to cover a large hole that was preventing her from hearing out of that ear. Thanks to lots of prayers, the day went very smoothly. The waiting room at the hospital made Caitie feel like she was there to play and the yellow pajamas they gave her made her very happy! (Yellow is her favorite color.) The surgery went well. As soon as she woke up from the anesthesia, she asked for a Popsicle.

Once we got home, we put her on the couch to watch T.V. and rest. She had no desire to sit and watch a movie. She quickly let me know that she wasn't tired by asking to jump on the trampoline. When I told her that wasn't an option, she said “Then I'm going shopping." In the picture with Bri she is holding her shopping bag with all the things she "bought" from her closet.

After receiving gifts from Kit, Natalie, Rae, and a neighbor, Caitie quickly realized it was the day to get what she wanted. She demanded pancakes for dinner and of course, she got them.

Not so little

Here are some recent pictures of Anne-Loren. As you can see, she isn't the tiniest of babies. At her two month check up she was 24" long and 12lbs 11oz (95% for her age). She may just catch up to Ryn :) She is a very happy and calm baby. Just as with the others, we're lucky to have her.

Little Miss Muffet

One of Caitie's favorite pass times is drawing on the driveway. These are some of her creations. She calls the first "ballerina spider" and the one she is working on in the second is "silly monster." When I asked her what I should write about her pictures she said "That they're great!."
