Lately I haven't been able to get enough time with my family. I have spent my time doing various other things that I really need to learn to let go of. The first thing that comes to mind is obsessing about having a clean house. Instead of spending quality time with my children I have been a slave to chores. My brother in law posted this video on his blog that demonstrates how I feel about the matter
It really is quite silly that I have let myself be a slave to something of such trivial importance. Granted, having a clean house is important. However, not at the expense of losing time with my family. I have learned to involve the children in the chores that they are able to help with. Now I need to learn to budget my time in a way that I am spending their waking hours with them. I have noticed that my children have an increased need for quality one on one time. I long to give them this time but am still figuring out how to do so. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Times like this are when it would be nice if we really could just "live on love."
